22- Feb -2005 Holocaust survivor attends auditions for wartime play
Holocaust survivor, Eva Schloss, will be in the Island later this week to attend auditions for a wartime play about her life during World War II.

"And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank" by James Still is a multi media play, which focuses on the lives of friends' Eva Schloss, Ed Silverberg and Anne Frank growing up in Amsterdam. The play tells the story of how they coped with severe restrictions upon their lives, their movement into hiding and finally being sent to concentration camps. The story is skilfully told using dramatic scenes from Ed and Eva's personal accounts.

Auditions take place on the 26th and 27th of this month at the Jersey War Tunnels with the actual performance scheduled for the first week in April.

There has been an excellent response to the play and Eva will be looking to cast nine roles from the many GCSE and A level students who have applied to take part.

The play will be directed by Jersey born actress Joanna Woodbridge, who was a cast member during its National Tour. Joanna will also be in the Island for auditions.
